The resort of Cala'n Bosch is situated on the south west coast of Menorca and is a popular choice for families and couples seeking a fun and relaxing holiday.
The resort offers a good range of accommodation choices from large hotels to smaller apartment complexes as well as a good range of dining options from fast food outlets to restaurants serving local and international cuisine, catering for all tastes and budgets.
The night-life in the resort is fairly laid back. The main focal point tends to be around the marina where there are several bars and a nightclub. There is also an evening market with stalls offering an assortment of handicrafts, gifts and souvenirs.
There are 2 main beaches in the resort, both offering soft sand and safe swimming conditions. A wide range of water sports are available in resort or close by, windsurfing, water skiing, parascending and diving are popular activities. For those who prefer to stay dry glass bottom boat tours can be taken from the marina.
For a great fun family day out there is a water park in the resort which offers many exciting water slides and rides.

...boredom isn't an option... There's no shortage of entertainment in Cala en Bosc. The resort, combined with Cap d'Artrutx to the west and Son Xoriguer to the east, serves a concentrated array of apartment complexes, hotels and whitewashed villas that battle for a sea view. It's like a little tourist world on its own - and you could easily spend a fortnight here without having to tread on any other patch of island soil. With entertainment such as karting, a water park, cycle hire and soft play areas, boredom isn't an option.
Set back in a cove, Cala en Bosc's main beach is well protected and makes for a safe place to swim, although its size means that it gets packed in the height of the season. A remedy to this is to take a short hop over the cliff path to Son Xoriguer's beach, which is much longer, so there's more chance of finding a space on the sand.
The port area, or 'lago' (lake) as it is fondly called, is filled with eateries, internet cafes, sports bars, souvenir shops and the like - it's a hub of activity - and the fact that access by car is limited means vehicles don't interrupt the views of dinky fishing and motorboats from restaurant terraces. There's little to distinguish one bar from another - just the standard choice of karaoke, cocktails or live music - but at least the variety does ensure no one is disappointed. If pushed, I'd pick out Cafe Balear (sister restaurant to an eatery in Ciutadella's port) and the Italian, Capriccio, but that's not a reason to avoid elsewhere. Here tough competition means bars change hands regularly: diners' top choice last season might be relegated the following summer. One rule of thumb is always copy the locals - gossip-hungry Menorcans quickly single out the best place for a meal. In Cap d'Artrutx, the newly opened restaurant at the lighthouse is also worth a visit.
